Here's more canal thingies ! An interesting thing happened while visiting Joigny France. There is an exhibition of Hokusai prints.... (you will know of this Japanese printmaker by the famous piece called the "Wave") ... if you have been to Sidney by the Sea you will see a facsimilie of the image on the huge sign promoting the town. We chatted about the Moku Hanga and she offered to open the museum early so I could see the collection of work. When we arrived in the afternoon we were greeted by other staff members, a reporter from the local paper and the Director of the Tourism. It seems my sport (woodblock printmaking) is highly regarded here. |
