This site is some of the personal experiences my wife and I had while on a 6 week trip to France in September 2007. We drove in many areas for 4 weeks and then two weeks were spent on a canal boat.

We recommend the Baise Canal a branch of the Midi Canal system that can easily be cruised in one week. It is quaint with many lovely towns and villages.......

In May and June 2008 we did the Nivernais/Loire canals. For eight weeks we added pages to the Nivernais Canal site as we cruise the Canal. You will find 8 pages of fun stuff on the site.
